**Tip** Set up a separate email for surveys. This way your personal email wont be bogged down with tons of emails. (They typically send you an email when a survey is available.) You can sign up for a Free GMAIL or YAHOO account.

So I’ve already told you about a few reputable companies that give you money for taking surveys. I actually got money in my mailbox on Friday! How you ask?
I signed up for one of Nielsen’s Programs, like this Digital Voice one. These are really cool, you get offers on different subjects and just give your opinion. It got me registered in the Nielsen database. Which is great, because sometimes they have surveys where they have to mail you out questions and then they send out money to compensate you.
Anyway, on Friday, I got this letter asking me to fill out a few questions about the TV shows I watch, which genre, how often how many TV’s. It was very general and no intimate knowledge needed. Just for taking the 2 minutes to answer, they included $2 cash. I mailed it back in the Pre-paid postage envelope. (I took a photo of all of it- to the right)

So I touched on this a little last week, I’ve received quite a few questions on which surveys are reputable and which are a waste of time. So I figured, now is a great time to cover this.
::Reputable Companies::
I classify a reputable survey company as one that you can take decent surveys (that don’t take forever), pay-out regularly, and are easy to work with. So I put together a list of the most reputable companies, I am members to each of these and would recommend these. (There were quite a survey companies that I have mentioned in the past that aren’t on this list because I only wanted to list the best ones)
::How to use them to Maximize your Earnings::
- Make a separate email address. (Most email you for each survey, you’ll get frustrated with them if they crowd your personal email) Google, Yahoo, MSN all offer FREE Email addresses.
- The more time you put in the more money you’ll make. (Pretty self-explainable, but there are no $30/each surveys. A lot of surveys are $1 or less, so you’ll have to keep taking them to make a good profit)
- Choose Which Ones You Want to Take. (Don’t waste all your time doing surveys that are boring. Remember you have the power, decide which you want to take. You CAN only do the high paying ones if you want)
- Keep doing them. (The more active you are, the more likely they’ll give you better surveys, or even new products to review- that’s my favorite)
- You can quit anytime. (If you decide that you just aren’t making what you wanted, it’s taking too long, or whatever, you can always quit. Just because you stop for a few months doesn’t mean you can’t eventually go back. Do what is best for you)

I get asked all the time, Are these survey companies just scams? I’ll tell you this, while they take a lot of effort, they can be very rewarding. They aren’t instant money! They Take work.
I wanted to tell you about one of my favorite ones, MindField. You’ll get an email each time a survey is available and you can determin if it’s worth your time. You’ll get reandom question surverys or you can get surveys that lead to paid product trials, where you get paid to review products!
MindField has a $5 minimum payout, which means you can request payment when you are at just $5 in earnings! They even started using PayPal which is even easier. (So you’ll get paid a lot more often!)
In order to make a good income from surveys you will have to take quite a few, so basically the more you put into it, the more you’ll get. Give it a try, you ahve nothing to lose.

Valued Opinions is a fantastic survey site. It’s Free to Join and start earning a little Extra Money. They pay between $2-5 per survey and sometimes as much as $50.
It’s really awesome, they partner up with stores to give you giftcards, etc.
